Poetry Playground: Exploring Forms & Rhymes

Welcome to Poetry Playground, where we’ll explore the artistry and craft of poetry through hands-on writing exercises, creative experimentation, and engaging discussions. This course is designed for both beginners and experienced writers who want to deepen their understanding of poetic forms and develop their unique voice.

Course Description

In this 6-week course, students will dive into various poetic forms, from classical structures to contemporary free verse. Through guided practice, peer feedback, and analysis of exemplar poems, participants will develop their craft while building a portfolio of original work.

Required Materials

Notebook or journal dedicated to poetry writing
Writing implements (pen/pencil)

Week 1: Foundations of Poetry
